ASC Alcoholics Anonymous / Narcotics Anonymous Program
Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous meetings are available six days a week at Austin Street Center, providing a safe, respectful and confidential environment for our clients, introducing them to the 12-Step design for living.
Guided by Dallas area AA/NA members and leaders, our clients are encouraged to discuss their history and challenges with the cycle of substance abuse and homelessness, giving them the opportunity to tap into a large group of people who are also in recovery and facilitating the establishment of critical and positive social supports.
Meetings focus on empowering members to take steps toward developing positive skills with the objective of combating their additions, avoiding stressors and relapse, and finding a sense of community.
Because isolation and marginalization are often associated with both addiction and homelessness, the overall process can be incredibly powerful and healing for those who participate, establishing a lifelong practice of sobriety and association with healthy friends.
